I was called to St. Peter Lutheran School in 2021 to serve as the Principal and 5th-8th grade teacher.  St. Peter is a place where there is an entire staff and congregation working together to ensure that every student who walks through our doors knows there is a God who loves them.  As an educator and administrator, I find great joy in developing a learning experience that allows students to be creative, think critically and demonstrate their learning to their peers and teachers.  At our school they can do this while building relationships and growing in their faith.

Growing up, I was a member at St. Peter, and attended the school through 8th grade.  I went on to attend Concordia University, Ann Arbor and began my teaching career in Holt, MI.  While teaching I was able to work towards and earn a master’s degree from Central Michigan University.  I have been teaching for 13 years and have served as an administrator for the past two years.

When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my family.  My husband, Mike, and I live in DeWitt with our three kids.  We like to spend as much time outside as possible, hanging out in our yard, going to Michigan beaches, riding bikes, and taking trips to area playgrounds.

Being a part of a Lutheran School means having another family that you are a part of.  I am grateful that my kids can attend such an awesome school and I am blessed to be a part of this great ministry.
