Grades 2-3

I am a 1973 graduate from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska. I was born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada and lived most of my life in Prince George or Seward, Nebraska where my parents had moved to for a short stay. My life in Prince George gave me a unique experience with pioneer type of life that I can share with my students. The animals I saw, the lack of power, water, etc., all were similar to the pioneer life style. It was a great period of time in my life.
I attended Concordia College in Edmonton, Alberta for my high school and first year of college.  I completed my college education at Seward, Nebraska earning a Bachelor degree in Education, and later on in 1993 a Masters Degree with emphasis in Reading.I started my teaching career by accepting a call to teach kindergarten at Drayton Valley, Alberta. I taught there for 3 years before accepting another call to teach at Stony Plain, Alberta.  I taught various different grade levels there during my 12 year stay.
I finally accepted a call to teach a multi-grade room at St. Peter Lutheran School in St. Johns, Michigan in 1988 where I have been to this day.  I especially enjoy the opportunity to work with the students to perform a school musical every spring. It’s rewarding to see the talents of the children shine through during these programs. I can’t wait to see whose hidden talents will shine through in the coming years.
When I’m not busy with school, I am active in many areas of church work at St. Peter. I play the organ, direct the choir - children and adult, lead an adult bible study, serve as a member on the altar guild, and make banners for the church. I enjoy reading, making things on the computer, and making crafts.

Saturday: 6:00PM

(A non-traditional worship style is offered on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month at the 10:30AM service)
