Cathy Chambers
Preschool Teacher and Director
Hello,
I am Cathy Chambers, the Lead Teacher and Director of St. Peter Lutheran Preschool. After teaching preschool children in the public sector for 8 years, in 1998, the Lord guided me to a new role of teaching in a Christian environment. My ministry now is providing a Christian program where young children can grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically, along with a strong emphasis on loving each other in Jesus Christ. We strive to develop the gifts God has given to each child to their fullest potential. Throughout the school year, the children are able to explore, create, and engage in "hands-on" activities.
Child-directed and teacher-directed activities in our program encourage:
  • Spiritual growth as they learn to trust and know Jesus as their Savior and Friend.
  • Emotional growth as they channel emotions in appropriate outlets and develop a positive self concept.
  • Social growth as they learn to play, work, and communicate with their peers and other adults.
  • Physically grow as we enhance fine and gross motor skills and develop eye-hand coordination.
  • Intellectually grow as we continue to develop pre-reading and language use and skills.
  • Creatively grow as we use various medias to develop his/her God given talents and abilities to express ideas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Worship Schedule

Sunday: 8:00AM and 10:30AM

Saturday: 6:00PM

(A non-traditional worship style is offered on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month at the 10:30AM service)
