Social Ministries November Council Report 2014

Food Pantry: Ellie reports that the Food Pantry has been serving several families and she and her helpers are getting ready to prepare Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas food baskets for seven families. Larry Mohr was able to get a donation from Meijers that will provide turkeys for each family. Children from St. Peter School will be helping to pack the boxes. Ellie and her team will be purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables to go in the food baskets and Laurie Flegler is making bread or rolls. Continue reading

Pastor’s November Council Report 2014

At the beginning of October the staff attended the Professional Church Workers Conference (PCWC). The staff was quite engaged in the sectionals and has immediately begun benefit from the opportunities afforded for us at the conference. The schedule was rigorous. In discussion, many sectionals reinforced tried and true concepts, while others needed consideration, and sparked creative ideas. We would recap many times after sectionals, and at meal times.
