Food Pantry: Ellie reports that the Food Pantry has been serving several families and she and her helpers are getting ready to prepare Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas food baskets for families. Donations of food or cash would greatly help with this. Cash donations can be marked for the Food Pantry and put in the offering plate on Sunday.
Soup Kitchen: The next date for a soup kitchen is Saturday, December 6th. This one will also feature the Giving Room. Christine is coordinating the program and will need volunteers to help prepare and serve the meal. Sue is organizing the Giving Room. Articles in the November newsletter and Sunday bulletins will provide information for members.
Blood Drive: The Red Cross is asking us to strive to have at least 25 donors at each drive. We continue to work toward that goal, in August we had 28, this month we had 24 people come and 18 pints were donated. The next drive is scheduled for December 17th. I met with Bri from the Red Cross to talk about ideas for marketing our drive.
College Boxes: Kyle & Kendra, Dan and Stephanie, and Travis and Alison have agreed to chair this project and we have three people already signed to bake. I am still looking for more bakers and for people to send in names and addresses of college students.

Festival of Lights is Saturday, December 6th from 6PM – 8PM. Please keep this evening free on your calendar! We will need a lot of help from volunteers to make this a success so please say Yes when called upon to help. If you know of any individuals or small groups with a special talent that would like to perform on this evening, please let me know as soon as possible so I may contact them. We will also have a portion of the evening set aside just to sing Christmas Carols! There will be light refreshments served in the Fellowship Hall, and crafts for the younger children. Please plan to attend!
